To staff, parents and students: We apologize for the vagueness of the messages that went out at the end of the day. There was an issue that the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office was dealing with in front of the school that happened right when dismissal was taking place. The issue was not school related, but unfortunately was happening at school. We secured the building out of an abundance of caution so that students were not caught up in the incident. The Sheriff's office completed their business, and the lockdown was lifted. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and concern this may have caused. All students and staff are safe. Thank you, Kraig Hissong
