The verdict is in! Mrs. Arnold’s 11th grade homeroom was the winner of our Halloween decorating contest! Their display featured an interactive zombie experience with students. Mr. Cotrell’s 10th grade homeroom came in second place, and Mrs. Spencer’s freshman received honorable mention. This year, we included a most improved award for Mr. Lewis’ seniors who decorated for the first time ever!

Zoology students are taking a behind the scenes tour of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s manatee habitat today. This experience allowed students to interact with the Zoo’s Manatee Rescue and Rehabilitation Program as they prepare to rehabilitate 4 orphaned manatees after Hurricane Ian. Students also toured the only viable Mangrove tree site north of Florida and met the Zoo’s rescue pelican population! Experiences beyond the classroom are a great way to gain practical knowledge, solidify what they are learning, and study potential careers in the field!
