Deputy Jarzab, School Resource Officer, spent much of this week preparing our elementary students for an upcoming safety drill! He read, ‘I’m Not Scared, I’m Prepared,’ a book that prepares students through relatable subject matter to use ALICE training. The book is about a shepherd, her sheep, and a big bad wolf and how the sheep must listen closely to their shepherd as she prepares them to stay safe from the big bad wolf! Pictured is Deputy J reading to Mrs. Yoder and Stayrook’s class and answering questions after. Thank you, Deputy, J! We will be prepared for our drill!

Fermentation Fun Day! Mrs. Smith’s science classes learned about the process of fermentation by making sauerkraut! And, while the process was a bit smelly, the outcome was delicious. When the fermentation process was complete, they shared a meal of brats and sauerkraut with staff members and other students. Everyone was very impressed!

Mrs. Smith's students are learning life and job skills! They help our custodial department by laundering rags and towels, and we are so thankful! Each week, they make their rounds through the school and collect the towels staff use to keep our surfaces clean. They wash, dry, fold and return them when they are finished. We are grateful for their help, and they enjoy being able to give back!
