Hello, Earlier today i sent out a message reminding families to complete FinalForms for your child by this Friday, August 18th. In the message I stated school starts on September 6th. Unfortunately, this was an error and school starts on September 5th. I apologize for the mix up. Thank you to those who caught my mistake! This does, however, provide the opportunity to remind elementary parents that we will be using a staggered start for elementary students again this year. Please be sure to contact Mrs. Cotrell, Elementary Secretary, if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Kraig Hissong
Hello WLS parents, this is Superintendent, Kraig Hissong welcoming you back to another great school year at WL-S. I hope everyone is enjoying the last couple of weeks of summer before classes begin on September 6th. In preparation for next school year it is very important that families complete FinalForms for each of your children enrolled. Final forms impacts many items like bussing, nurse services, class schedules, and technology that your child may need this school year. In order for us to have the most accurate information, please complete and update your child's final form information by this Fri 8/18 to ensure our information is as accurate as possible. If you have no changes, completing FinalForms should take fewer than 5 minutes. Thank you!
Parents, mark your calendars and plan to join us as Captain Scott Frank brings his Digital Empowerment seminar to West Liberty-Salem! This is an extremely informative session that is sure to educate and empower parents to understand the current trends in our digital era.

We just need 15 more individuals to help! Do you have 30 minutes once a month that you can share with a cool kiddo?! Chat, listen, just be a positive influence?! We would appreciate your help!! There is no cost to participate, fees for background checks (as required by the school) are covered by the United Way, and its an easy way to make a difference in the life of a student.
