7th graders were playing volleyball first thing this morning! It may have been cold, but the competition was hot! The tournament continued most of the day.

In a selfless act of kindness, third grader, Ayden Henson, a gold card bike winner, decided that he would like to donate his bike back and let another student have the chance to win! Today, the third grade gold cards went back in the til for another winner to be selected. Quinn Phelps is the new winner of her own, brand new bike just in time for summer! Pictured are Ayden and Quinn with her new bike!

Congratulations to the Class of 2027! This morning we promoted the eighth-grade class to high school in a ceremony recognizing their outstanding achievements. Mr. Andy McGill, Principal, opened the ceremony by congratulating the class of 2027. He shared that they have now reached a pinnacle moment in their academic journey. “Don’t find yourself content,” he said. He shared words of wisdom around thoughts, actions, habits, and character and how each of those words meld together to create the uniquely individual character that each student has. Zoe Carter and Conner Leichty led The Pledge of Allegiance and gave the class speeches as Co-Presidents of the Student Council. Brittany Neer, Class of 2023 Valedictorian, shared an inspiring message about setting high expectations for yourself, but making the most of friendships, making memories, and joining activities in high school despite fear or trepidation.

Another visit to Lions Park! Seventh graders enjoyed Lions Park yesterday! They spent the morning playing basketball, swinging, and turning a million circles on the merry-go-round! They prove that you're never too old to enjoy a good park!

Sixth graders, who had no missing assignments, were treated to an afternoon at Lions Park yesterday! Keep up the great work in 7th grade!

Fifth grade had their annual end of the year play day at Lions Park. The Lions Club opened their concession stand to sell burgers, hot dogs and drinks. Students supplied sides and desserts for a pot luck style picnic lunch. Students brought balls, baseball or softball gloves, and other outdoor toys to share. Many enjoyed the park equipment and others took walks and played in the grass! They had a great day playing at our beautiful park!

Our elementary students are learning about the General Sherman Tree, a 249.9 foot ancient tree in Sequoia National Park. Today, they gathered in a circle holding string that matches the circumference of the base of the tree! All four kindergarten classes are pictured together to create an image of how large the base of General Sherman Tree is! They were amazed!
