Congratulations to our October Seniors of the Month! Isabella Hardwick and Craig Stanford were nominated and voted on by their teachers for being great students, good citizens, and active in both school and their community! Mrs. Harman's biology classes used a bubble solution to demonstrate some of the qualities of the cell membrane. Membrane is fluid and flexible (check out that bounce!), and it can self-repair (they were able to put their hand through the membrane and remove it without damaging the membrane). Tomorrow, they will continue to explore membrane bound organelles and proteins on the membrane. Great work, scientists!

Today, members of the high school football and cheer teams attended a ceremony honoring the promotion of Eli Wilcoxon to Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Wilcoxon, who has served for 27 years, is the mother of senior Josh Wilcoxon. She was joined on stage by her son, WLS alum, Jake Wilcoxon who served as the narrator of ceremony. Airman Basic Maddie McGill, a senior who enlisted last month, was also in attendance. Thank you for your selfless service to our great Nation!
