It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a beloved member of our West Liberty-Salem Schools family, Mr. Steven Scott Fairchild. Steve dedicated over nine years to our district as a valued member of the maintenance department. His unwavering commitment to our students and staff was evident in his daily work and the care he put into maintaining our school environment.
Steve often said, "It's all for the kids," a sentiment that truly encapsulated his approach and dedication to his role. His passion for creating a safe and welcoming space for learning will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family during this difficult time. For those wishing to pay their respects, visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. An additional visitation will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Champaign/Clark Pheasants Forever, 7200 Church Road, West Liberty, OH 43357.

🚀🫧Exploring Motion in First Grade!
Our first graders in Mrs. Stayrook's class had a blast during their Motion Missions Stations Lab! They became little scientists, exploring how objects move by completing hands-on challenges.
🌟At each station, students experimented with different types of motion—blowing on pinwheels, rolling marbles, bouncing balls, and even making bubbles! They observed forces like pushes and pulls, recorded their results, and used critical thinking to understand how motion works.
It was an exciting day of discovery, curiosity, and learning through play! Great job, first graders!
