It's Gold Card Friday! Check out this week's elementary episode, featuring some vintage photos of our very own Mr. McGill. https://youtu.be/qNQjIh03PG0

Our homecoming court, and their escorts, were treated to dinner catered by The Half Day Cafe last evening. The kick off to this weekend’s homecoming festivities is a new tradition, and the court had a blast being celebrated! Tonight, the Tigers will take on the Northeastern Jets in the Homecoming game at 7pm, at Tiger stadium. Go Tigers!

Please help us welcome another new staff member, and this week’s staff spotlight, Emily Ridgeway. Emily joins us as our EMIS Coordinator & ProgressBook Administrator. Emily previously helped the same position for Mechanicsburg EVSD for the last 3 years.
Emily graduated from WL-S in 2003 and resides on her family farm in West Liberty. You may all remember her mom, Mrs. Crabtree, former WL-S EMIS Coordinator. Emily thinks they may be the only Mother-Daughter EMIS team to ever exist (haha!). Emily is married to Brian Ridgeway who serves at the Golf Course Superintendent of Darby Creek Golf Course. They married in Colorado, where they lived for many years, 12 years ago this December.
Emily and Brian have 2 sons. Sam is a 2nd grade at WL-S, age 8, Mrs. Bell’s class, loves being a Tigerand
playing on the WL Youth Soccer Team. Loves all things Marvel, Minecraft, science experiments, animals,
and spending time outside. Howard, 11 months old (future Tiger), is attempting to learn to walk, makes
frog sounds, and is their little comedian! They also have 1 elderly Rat Terrier named Stinky, who will be
16 on Halloween. He likes to sleeps all day and begs for snacks!!
Emily has some really fun interests that include being obsessed with her two sweet bears, Sam & Howie; embracing being a boy mom even though I don’t have an athletic bone in my body. Lover of all things fall & winter, cold brew coffee fanatic, Etsy over-spender, perhaps greatest fan of Golden Girls, enjoy interior decorating & homemaking, loves tulips, HUGE Johnny Cash fan (“I sing many of his songs as lullabies to my boys.”), premature Christmas decorator (“usually put up my tree on Veterans Day”).
Welcome, Emily! We hope you feel right at home at WL-S!!
