Mrs. Stayrook is teaching first graders a "half dozen ways to be kind", and it was a sweet day! They began their day with donuts and ended by painting kindness rocks. They created sweet little hearts on their rocks with red painted thumb prints. They are learning ways to be polite and kind to their friends, while incorporating other lessons along the way!

Mrs. Watson, High School Counseling department, took a small group of high school students to tour Weidmann Electrical Technology this morning. Students were given a behind the scenes plant tour, learned about their rich history, and explored career opportunities within the company. Weidmann, located in Urbana, has 140 years of experience and leadership in the development, design and operation of electrical transformers. The tour was an excellent opportunity for students interested in diving directly into the workforce upon graduation. Thank you, Weidmann!
