Senior night

The annual  Senior Awards Night for the Class of 2021 was held on Tuesday, March 11, 2021, and many accomplishments and scholarships were celebrated.  The senior class of 2021 had an absolute record setting year with a grand total in Scholarships of $1,938,910 (4% increase from the Class of 2020).  Each year the Counseling office recognizes approximately 55 scholarships totaling around $80,000 in local scholarships alone.  Details of the evening are below.  

  • The class of 2021 has earned $1,203,148 in collegiate based scholarships provided directly from the college or university.
  • Military scholarships including the ROTC  Scholarship and GI Bill tuition reimbursements totals $656,862 for the Class of 2021.
  • This year’s Graduating Class and their Future Plans:
    • 59, or 65% are college bound
      • Approximately 60% are heading to a 4-yr college, with 40% pursuing a 2 year program or trade school
    • 27% heading to the Workforce
    • 8% have enlisted in the Military
  • Of the 59 students heading off the college, 41 have received scholarship money
  • 56 out of the 91 graduating Seniors have earned free college credit by participating in CCP Classes.
    • Those 56 students racked up 1,566 hours of free college credit hours
    • That is nearly an average of 28 credit hours per student, as compared to last year’s average of 22 hours per student
    • Students earned $643,626 in free college credit based on Ohio tuition costs
