West Liberty-Salem Local School District

West Liberty-Salem Local School District recently purchased the ‘gently’ used weight room after Urbana University Campus and athletic facility closed last year.  With the goals of improving the current weight room layout, creating better use of space, and equipment upgrades, a plan was put in motion to effectively restructure the space into a much larger training facility.  Athletic Director Jake Vitt shared, “Over break, several coaches, community members, and a lot of athletes helped to make the move a lot smoother and successful.  Thank you to those who helped!”  The new equipment and space will allow a higher level of training for our students with newer, safer and better equipment.  Our students are taking full advantage of the restructured weight room and coaches are looking forward to the new opportunities it will provide!
