Weaver Named DAR Good Citizen of the Year

Congratulations to Selena Weaver, senior at WL-S, who was selected by her peers and faculty as the 2020-21 DAR Good Citizen of the Year.  The faculty nominated four deserving seniors, who meet the DAR criteria, and fellow seniors then vote for one winner.  The DAR Good Citizen is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship among students.  Particularly, students selected for the award should display dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools and communities to an outstanding measure. Weaver possesses the many qualities of a good citizen and beyond.  She participates in many sports, clubs, volunteer organizations and other co- and extracurriculars.  She displays exemplary academic stewardship and is a respected among her peers for integrity and the quality of her character.  Miss Weaver will compete in the DAR scholarship competition and all county DAR winners will be recognized in February.
