West Liberty-Salem celebrated the newest members of its Athletic Hall of Fame Saturday evening during the 2026 Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony, held for the first time in the new Tiger Strong Fieldhouse.

Roughly 200 family members, friends, former teammates, coaches, alumni, and members of the Tiger community gathered to honor the 2026 induction class: longtime coach Ann Vogel, standout multi-sport athlete Jamie Peterson, and the 2010 Lady Tigers Softball Team, which finished as the OHSAA Division III State Runner-Up.

The evening provided an opportunity to look back on some of the people and moments that have helped shape the proud tradition of West Liberty-Salem athletics. Each inductee was recognized not only for outstanding accomplishments in competition, but also for the leadership, dedication, character, and lasting impact they have had on Tiger Athletics.

The celebration was especially meaningful as former players, coaches, families, and friends reunited to share memories and celebrate achievements that continue to be an important part of West Liberty-Salem history.

Holding this year's banquet in the Tiger Strong Fieldhouse also provided a fitting backdrop for the occasion. The district's newest facility was filled with generations of Tigers as the community celebrated its athletic history while looking toward the future.

Photographer John Coffman was on site throughout the evening to capture photos of the inductees, their families, former teammates, and many of the special moments from the celebration.

The Hall of Fame festivities began Friday evening, when members of the 2026 class were welcomed back to West Liberty-Salem and recognized before the varsity football game at Tiger Stadium. Saturday's banquet concluded the weekend with the formal induction of this year's class.

West Liberty-Salem extends its congratulations to Ann Vogel, Jamie Peterson, and the members and coaches of the 2010 Lady Tigers Softball Team. Their accomplishments have left a lasting mark on West Liberty-Salem Athletics, and the district is proud to officially welcome them into the West Liberty-Salem Athletic Hall of Fame.

Congratulations to the 2026 Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger.
