Kindergarten students must be 5 years old prior to August 1 of the new school year to attend Kindergarten at WL-S.
If your student will enter KG in September 2026, we will hold a Kindergarten Screening on May 8 and May 11, 2026. Please email Mrs. Alysson Cotrell at alcotrell@wlstigers.org and include the information below to start your screening process:

Kindergarten Screening Process (roughly 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes) total:
Parent(s) will bring the incoming kindergartener and all necessary registration documents.
Children will spend 15-25 minutes in an assessment with a teacher.
Teacher will meet with parent(s) to discuss results of the assessment.
Children will spend around 30 minutes in playtime/observation time with other incoming kindergarteners.
Parent(s) will take incoming the kindergartener to a vision screening.
While children are occupied, parents can meet with members of transportation staff, nursing staff (if needed), or office staff.
