Public Notice-Rehire Retired Employee

Deb White, current full-time bus driver for the West Liberty-Salem Local School District, has requested to retire on May 31st, 2025, and then be rehired by the Board of Education on August 1, 2025, in her same transportation position. As required by Ohio Law, a public hearing must take place between 15 and 30 days prior to action by the Board to rehire a retired employee in the same position (ORC 3307.353). The Public Hearing will take place at the June 18, 2025, regular Board of Education meeting, during Public Participation. The meeting begins at 6 PM. The Board will take action to reemploy Deb White at our regularly scheduled July 16th Board meeting held at 6 PM.
