On May 7th, West Liberty-Salem High School hosted its annual Senior Awards Night, celebrating the achievements and future plans of the Class of 2025. The event lasted nearly two hours and highlighted academic excellence, leadership, service, and an unprecedented scholarship total for the graduating class.

When asked about their year’s highlights, seniors mentioned moments like Senior Sunrise, Homecoming, the football season, concerts and musicals, lunchtime fun, and student sections at games. These seniors have been actively involved in shaping a memorable and impactful final year.


Class of 2025 Post-Graduation Plans

  • 47% will attend a 4-year college or university

  • 14% will attend a 2-year college or trade school

  • 35% will enter the workforce (some as business owners)

  • 4% have enlisted in the military


Record-Breaking Scholarship Year

The Class of 2025 achieved the highest scholarship total on record in the past decade, announcing over $200,000 in local and awarded scholarships during the ceremony. Including military, local, and collegiate-based awards, the class has earned over $3.6 million, nearly doubling last year’s total.


College Credit Plus (CCP) Achievements

  • 52 of 97 seniors earned free college credit

  • 1,381 semester credit hours earned

  • Estimated savings: over $629,000 in tuition
