The high school Mock Trial Team recently visited The Supremem Court of Ohio and The Thomas J. Moyer Judicial Center. The trip, organized by government teacher and Mock Trial Team Advisor Sean Stormes, allows students a hands on learning experience in the history, role and responsibilies of the court system. Students are invited to discuss and learn about the importance of civic participation, voting for justices and judges, and jury duty. They also discussed case studies and met Ohio Supreme Court Justice Patrick Fischer. This tour was a great opportunity for our Mock Trial Team to look at the past, present and future of our judicial system and engage in a hands on experience at The Ohio Supreme Court.
