Sertell

Our Kindergarten music class had a surprise visitor on Friday afternoon who shared his love of music with a fun demonstration on his electric guitar!  Eli Sertell, 6th grader, is a self taught musician, who spent most of the summer learning some of the greatest classic rock songs, like Sweet Home Alabama and Bad to the Bone!  Eli’s father has played the guitar for more than 20 years, but Mr. Sertell (5th grade teacher) says Eli has already far surpassed his talents in just a few short months.  His parents were inspired by Eli’s appreciation for the guitar and signed him up for a workshop in Nashville, Tennessee. There, Eli worked with engineers from Fender Guitar and built his very own electric guitar!  This is the guitar that he used during his musical demonstration and practice.  Our kindergarteners loved the opportunity to hear him play and even had some special requests!  Thank you, Eli, for sharing your talents with our young musicians.
