Mrs. Hollar and the elementary physical education department participated in World Cup Stacking Day.  Each year, the WSSA makes their attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record with over 635,000 people stacking at the same time in many different locations.  Stacking has become a popular PE activity due to the development of mental awareness, hand eye coordination, and confidence.

This activity is a favorite among elementary students!  They have fun with friendly competition with their friends while incorporating other physical challenges in with stacking!  Each year, our elementary students are also challenged to help fill the local food pantry by donating non perishable food items leading up to the stacking event.  This year our food pantry donation will go to the West Liberty First Church of God’s Blessing Bags.  With our help, they filled over 500 blessing bags providing nutrition to WL-S students who may not have enough to eat at home.  The bags will go home weekly with those who need them, and with donations from our students and other local donations, we were able to provide 5 weeks of food!!
