West Liberty-Salem football senior Adam Schultz recently signed his letter of intent to play football at Ohio Northern University in the Fall. Adam will be majoring in mechanical engineering.

West Liberty-Salem senior soccer player Ashley Rabenstein recently signed her official letter of intent to play soccer at Otterbein University. Ashley will be majoring in nursing.

Virginia Young 1940 Basketball Jersey  
Thank you to Shelley Young (pictured on the left) for donating her late mother Virginia Landgraver Young's basketball jersey back to the school to be on display. Pictured on the right is West Liberty resident Patti Metz who was a member of the 1940 team. The uniform will be on display for the future in the High School sports trophy case.



West Liberty-Salem is in need of Freshman and JV Volleyball coaches to fill the staff for the 2017-18 school year. Anyone interested should contact A.D. Jake Vitt at jvitt@wlstigers.org 

Mandatory Online Registration for ALL Athletes

If your student is planning on participating in Athletics at WL-S this year, they must be registered online. This new method will cut down on a lot of paperwork and confusion. Follow the steps on the instruction sheet (click to download). Log onto https://westliberty.8to18.com to begin and create your account. It is important to keep in mind when registering, the online system will say “there is no physical on file for your athlete" - please disregard this as we do not use this online system for tracking the physical status of our students. This registration must be compete prior to the students first competition. 2017-18 Sports Physicals

If your child plans to participate in sports next school year, you must have a valid physical on file in the Athletic Office.   • West Liberty-Salem Athletic Pass Policy:

    A.        All  WLS employees, full-time or part-time may receive a WLS pass good for all WLS sponsored home athletic events providing they sign up/agree to work two athletic events either for athletic department or for the athletic association. He/She may opt to purchase the pass for $40 or may receive a $80 credit towards a WLS family pass.

    B.        Any  substitute WLS employee who would like to receive a WLS pass good for all WLS sponsored home athletic events, must pay $40. Or he/she may receive an $80 credit towards a WLS family pass.

    C.        All senior citizens over the age of 70 who reside in the WLS district  and seniors who reside outside the district that regularly attend WLS sporting events due to the participation of a family member/s will receive a single admission pass good for all WLS sponsored home athletic events.  These are available year around. The person requesting must be in person to request pass.                       .

    D.        All head coaches will receive a WLS family pass for the entire year. All assistant, volunteer or middle school coaches will receive a credit of $125 towards a WLS family pass. Passes will be distributed at the beginning of each season.

    E.         A family member is any person listing that residence as their primary residence and financially dependent to a major degree upon the main pass holder.

    F.       All passes will be distributed and picked up from the Central Office.

    Pass Prices:

    Student: $45.00

                            Single Adult: $140.00

                            Family: $290.00
