Welcome message from Superintendent

  • Thanks to our talented students, dedicated staff, supportive parents, and community members, West Liberty-Salem Local Schools has a long history as a school of excellence. Our students continue to excel in academics, enjoy much athletic success, and relish participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Our staff is dedicated to providing the high quality learning environment that you expect as a community. Each year, our district staff and our Board of Education set goals and action plans to address future needs and plan for continuous improvement. In all stages of academic, social, and emotional growth, our staff strives to provide and challenging and supportive environment for all students K through 12.

Over the last three years, WL-S underwent a major building project and we are thrilled that our staff and students are utilizing these updated spaces to enhance their time WL-S. From our new science wing, to new kindergarten & first grade classrooms, to our renovated cafetorium, our students are positioned well to take full advantage of all WL-S has to offer.
