Champaign County community members have organized Blessing Bags to provide bags of healthy, non-perishable food items to be delivered to students on Fridays to provide weekend nutrition to those in need.  This program is present in almost all Champaign County schools with a goal of providing students in grades K-12, who may struggle with having enough to eat, a discreet and confidential means for support.  If you notice or know of a student(s) who may not have enough lunch, lunch money, or is experiencing extenuating circumstances at home, please contact CWatson@WLSTIGERS.ORG with a request.  Food and other donations are provided by local churches and volunteers; and delivery is coordinated discreetly through the Counseling Department and primary teachers.
