  • WLS Earns Second Place in Ohio's "Keep America Beautiful" Contest
     
    Congratulations to West Liberty Salem Tigers!  WLS has won 2nd place in the state of Ohio in a nationally sponsored recycling competition called "Keep America Beautiful!"  Members of the Elementary Student Council, The Green Team, MS 6th graders, custodians and administration will be recognized at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center on Tuesday, Feb. 7th, 2012.  We all work together to recycle at WLS and together we help our school and better our environment.  Thanks to all for their hard work, we can proudly say we have truly accomplished something great.  Congratulations Tigers and Keep on Recycling!

  • District Rated Excellent
    Six Years in a Row!
    WL-S has been rated excellent for the sixth year in a row by the Ohio Department of Education.  The district met 25 of 26 state indicators on the local report card.  The district also had the highest Performance index in the history of the school, 104.2.  This Performance index places the district in the top 15% of the state.  Along with our highest Performance Index ever, the district also met AYP and Value Added.  We are very proud of our students and staff.  Click on the following links to review our performance.

  • West Liberty-Salem School is a public water system (PWS) responsible for providing drinking water that meets state and federal requirements. Samples were drawn from various distribution points throughout the building for testing of lead and copper. The results revealed that West Liberty-Salem is compliant with the state and federal standards.
