If you do not live in the West Liberty-Salem School District and would like your child to attend WLS, you may apply for Open Enrollment from May 1 to June 1 each year prior to the school year in which they would attend.
Example: For students in grades 1-12 during the 2012-13 school year, you would complete an Open Enrollment application for your child between May 1 and June 1, 2012. By July 1, you will be notified of approval or denial of
Open Enrollment. (Also, once your child has been accepted for Open Enrollment to WLS, you will continue to
apply EACH YEAR for approval or denial.)
Kindergarten students should be signed up for the Kindergarten screening process which occurs in late March or early April depending on the school calendar. Contact the Elem. Secy. at (937) 465-0060 in February or March to
sign up for Kindergarten screening. Parents of Kindergarten students will apply for Open Enrollment at Kindergarten screening. Notification of approval or denial will be received by July 1. Children must be 5 years old by August 1 to attend Kindergarten at WLS.
