Energy Ohio Field Trip for Green Team 24 Green Team members attended the Ohio Energy Project Energy Fair in Dayton, Ohio. Students rotated between different stations and rooms learning about different types of energy, the sources of our energy and playing lots of games involving fun facts about energy use and conservation. The students really enjoyed the day, some were quoted saying, "This was the best field trip ever!".

Green Team is now featured on two websites showcasing the club and its activities! Equal Exchange is the fundraiser we used last winter (and will be again this year) while the Environmental Education Week website works year round to promote environmental education. Green Tigers are traveling the world!
This year the club will visit a different place in the world each month and learn about different environmental issues pertaining to that region.
We will be stopping at Yellowstone National Park to learn about ecosystems, then we will visit China and study our ecological footprint. In Antarctica, we'll be going on an expedition with biologists and scientists studying global warming and the following month we're heading to the island of Madagascar to learn about all the unique animals that live there. Then it's on to the jungle for an expedition and finally to the land down under where we will learn about the ocean and divide into tribes!
At each destination, students will receive a sticker for their passports - if they make it to all the destinations, they'll receive a prize at the end of the year! | |
